During the renovation of our villa in 2009, we installed peripheral insulation and triple-glazed windows.
Ground heating comes from a geothermal heat pump. Solar thermal panels heat sanitary water. A 4,000-litre tank collects rainwater to power toilets and washing machines.
A few years later, we installed 34 photovoltaic panels that produce electricity and charge batteries. These batteries discharge during the night.
Finally, for more than eight years, we have been raising chickens that recycle our plant waste and offer us excellent eggs every day.
